If you are familiar with the great show Seinfeld, then you probably already know about the tradition of Festivus by George Costanza’s family. It was a holiday unlike any other that did not celebrate the commercialization of Christmas, and was a holiday for the everyday man. In fact it was “a Festivus for the rest of us” so to speak.
One of the great traditions of Festivus is the often therapeutic “Airing of Grievances” where you go around the table and let everyone know how they have let you down throughout the past year. A great friend of mine, Eli Goldstein used to host a “Festivus” show every season allowing people to call in and air their grievances against all the players and coaches in the NFL who let down your fantasy team, crushed your bets, or just let you down in general. Eli no longer hosts his show, but Joe & I have kept the tradition alive on our show, and will celebrate Festivus live on the show tomorrow night but we need your help.
Please leave your “Airing of Grievances” vs. the NFL players, coaches, teams, and more that have let you down this season in the comments section below. We want to be able to read some of them on the show tomorrow night, and if you want to listen live, you can do so at
www.blogtalkradio.com/whatsyourfantasy starting at 11 PM EST. It is very helpful to get it all off your chest and not harbor resentment during the holiday season, so I encourage you to let loose and let those players know how they let you down this season. Happy Festivus to all!!
