Week 11 NFL Picks

Derek Carr and the Raiders go to Detroit in a Pick 'Em on Sunday, can they get the win?

Record in Week 10: 1-0

Record in 2015: 34-20-4

Week 10 was an interesting week to say the least. There were not a lot of games that I even liked on the schedule and we didn’t have a lot of our key angles going off. My numbers did like the Lions, but I just couldn’t bet that team on the road even though it was a huge number, and I forgot all about Andy Reid’s impeccable record coming off the Bye Week or I might have . . .

Week 9 NFL Picks

Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers have struggled this season, and have turned to Blaine Gabbert, are the Falcons an automatic bet this weekend?

Record in Week 8: 3-1-2
Record in 2015: 29-20-3

Week 8 saw us get back on the winning side of things with 3 wins, one loss but two unfortunate pushes. I hate pushes, they drive me crazy. Three hours of intensely rooting for a team only to have nothing to show for it at the end. I don’t really mean it, but I often have said I’d just assume take the loss than get the push. The Giants game was all over the place but it finally looked like we had a shot . . .

Week 7 NFL Picks

Bryan Hoyer returned as the Texans starter last week for an easy cover vs. the Jaguars, can he make it two in a row in Florida?

Record in Week 6: 4-3
Record in 2015: 23-14-1

We got back on track last weekend going 4-3 with my 7 Official Picks, but I was very disappointed since a 5-2 day seemed where I was headed. We got very easy wins with the Dolphins, Bengals and Texans, while we had to sweat out the Bears win. The Chiefs couldn’t quite get there, but were close most of the day and Washington looked like it was a winner early on but the wheels fell off in the 2nd half, much like the Seahawks . . .

Week 6 NFL Picks

Andy Dalton and the Bengals are road favorites vs. the Bills, can they get it done again?

Record in Week 5: 2-3-1
Record in 2015: 19-11-1
It was my first losing week of the season, let’s start with the wins. I was on the Browns and the Cardinals for outright wins, and they were pretty solid most of the day. I pushed on the Bengals game having it at exactly a FG, and I was probably pretty fortunate to do that given that the Seahawks had such a big lead late in the game. I lost on the Cowboys as they got roughed up by the Patriots and it now seems that . . .

Week 5 NFL Picks

Philip Rivers and the Chargers host a well rested Steelers team but without Big Ben.

Record in Week 4: 3-2
Record in 2015: 17-8
It was a 3-2 weekend last weekend with great outright wins for three of the dogs we liked, the Bears, Giants and Rams all not only covered, but won outright. The Dolphins were a huge disappointment as I thought they would right the ship across the pond, but they fell flat and fired their coach. The 49ers game never got to 10 so I probably shouldn’t have bet it, but I did and there were plenty of opportunities for them to cover the game, they just continue . . .

Shane’s Week 6 Free College Football Pick

Utah QB - Travis Wilson and the Utes are on a roll right now, and look to continue it vs. the Bears tonight.

Season To Date: 2-2

Last week was a winner with Indiana playing Ohio State tough and coming away with a cover!

California at Utah (-7)

Utah is on a hot roll in the Pac-12, beating Michigan in the opener to crushing Oregon on the road by 42 points two weeks ago. This week, they take on pro favorite Jared Goff and the Cal Golden Bears. Cal isn’t a great team, they have a mediocre defense and a poor offensive line while Utah’s defense has rushed the passer well and they are productive on the ground and through the air. Goff may have kept this line down, but Utah will show how dominant they really are with a couple big plays and win big.

Utah -7

Week 4 NFL Picks

There hasn't been much to celebrate in Miami so far, will it change in a different country?

Record in Week 3: 4-4
Record in 2015: 14-6

In Week 3 we had eight Official Picks against the spread going 4-4 for the week. We are still eight games up on the season sitting at 14-6 on the young season. We had some easy wins and close losses last week, but I’m most proud of an angle that I’ve now been tracking for a few years, the angle that went 2-0 for us last week in easy wins as we were betting against both of the teams traveling to London . . .

Shane’s Week 5 Free College Pick

The Buckeyes offense has been good but are they good enough to cover a 3 TD spread?

Season To Date: 1-2

Last week Arkansas State let me down with a huge loss and only scoring 7 points against Toledo. With a fair amount of points and a good QB coming back, I figured they could keep up offensively but I was wrong.

Ohio State at Indiana (+21)

Ohio State has not been super impressive thus far and Indiana is much better than given credit for. The Buckeyes QB situation is still in flux and there seems to be very little rhythm for the Ohio State offense, even in the run game. They are explosive and can put up points, so it is risky to go against them, but they are also turnover prone. Indiana’s defense isn’t much to write home about (their best performance was giving up 22 points at home to FIU,) but the offense for the Hoosiers is solid.
Indiana has a strong run game and offensive line that should control the clock and score on the Buckeyes defense. They have scored at least 30 points in every game this season and UAB transfer RB Jordan Howard has had at least 145 yards in each of those games. Ohio State’s defense will disrupt them at times, but expect undefeated IU to match points and at least cover the 3 TD spread.

Indiana +21

Week 3 NFL Picks Report Card

Even without Tony Romo, I thought the Cowboys were a good bet in Week 3; but they fell short.

Official Week 3 NFL Picks (4-4):

Year to Date: 14-6

Cincinnati Bengals (+3) at Baltimore Ravens: WIN

Oakland Raiders (+3 ½) at Cleveland Browns: WIN

Philadelphia Eagles (+2) at New York Jets: WIN

Buffalo Bills (+3) at Miami Dolphins: WIN

Chicago Bears (+15) at Seattle Seahawks: LOSS

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7) at Houston Texans: LOSS

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (+1 ½): LOSS

Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions (+3): LOSS

In Week 3 I released 8 Official NFL Picks, the most of any week this season. I had a lot of key angles all going off in the same weekend, so it led to a lot of picks. Early on Sunday afternoon, things were looking great with the Cowboys, Bengals, Raiders and Buccaneers all leading or keeping it close early on. Philadelphia looked like a winner very early on and held on for us, but then the Cowboys fell apart and the Bengals started giving up a big lead after what I thought was a bad call taking the TD away from Eifert that would have put the Bengals up 21-0 at that point. We ended the early games with easy wins on the Eagles and Raiders, a close win with the Bengals and a loss with the Cowboys and Bucs. The Buccaneers missed 3 or 4 FGs in their game after the kicker nailed a 58 yarder early in the game for a disappointing loss. We were sitting at 3-2 in the early games with the Bills, Bears and Lions to go. The Bills game was an easy win and it was apparent early, while the Bears kept it close in the 1st half, and it looked like we could make it to 5-2 going into Sunday night, but it wasn’t meant to be. The Bears couldn’t move the ball at all on offense and we ended at 4-3 going into Sunday Night with the Lions. The Lions kept it close as well, but couldn’t keep it close enough late in the game and we ended Week 3 at 4-4. It was disappointing because I really thought we had the Dallas game and the Bucs really let me down as well. You can’t win every game, but I was still hoping for 5-3 at the worst, to end up 4-4 is just spinning your tires and I hate it. Either way, we will be back in Week 4 to make some money!

Week 3 NFL Picks

Sam Bradford and the Eagles have let down a lot of bettors this season, is it time to jump ship?

Record in Week 2: 5-1
Record in 2015: 10-2
Going into Week 2, I didn’t like a lot of the games on the slate. I knew I was going to be on Cleveland for several reasons, but that is really all I had going in. I sat down later in the week and really started looking at the matchups and ended up on six games, going 5-1 again for the weekend. Getting to 10 wins this early in the season is great, and for the last several years, the magical 50 win season has evaded my . . .
